To sue or not to sue...

A lot has been made of Krittika Biswas and her decision to sue the city of New York. The case of Krittika has made waves in India, but barely been touched by the American media. The media that believes in giving coverage to the most mundane affairs has somehow not even touched, or barely touched, this case. The case in itself is disturbing given the dicriminatory attitude, or so it appears, of Krittika's school and the NYPD. The fact that no one in the USA considers the case even worth covering is also a little disconcerting. I read some blogs about this case and found some of the comments extremely disturbing. The fact that the comments were racist was sad, what was worse is the ignorance of the people of this country. Comments like "Go back to whereever you came from". For God's sake, this is a diplomats daughter, it's not like she's an illegal immigrant. If you guys want to have diplomatic relations with India, such people will have a right to be in the country while their parents are deputed here...I am appalled at the ignorance of an average American.
